TRS MP K Kavitha, here on Wednesday, asked the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is seeking the special status for his State, to join hands with the TRS in securing the same for both the States.Reacting to Naidu’s offer to the TRS government for amicably settling all inter-State disputes, Kavitha countered Naidu whether it would not be worthwhile for both the States to seek the special status instead of going their own ways.

New Delhi: TRS MP K Kavitha, here on Wednesday, asked the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is seeking the special status for his State, to join hands with the TRS in securing the same for both the States.Reacting to Naidu’s offer to the TRS government for amicably settling all inter-State disputes, Kavitha countered Naidu whether it would not be worthwhile for both the States to seek the special status instead of going their own ways.


Development of both the States would be possible, if AP and Telangana were accorded the special status and not just for AP, she felt. On reports of the TRS joining the NDA Cabinet, she reiterated that her party would consider the same only if it came from the BJP leadership. If such an eventuality arose, her party would discuss the same at the appropriate forum and TRS President K Chandrashekar Rao would take the decision, the Nizamabad MP clarified.
