Complete Pushkarams works by June 15: Indrakaran

Karimnagar: Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy directed the officials to complete arrangements for Godavari Pushkarams by June 15. The Minister along with MLA Putta Madhu and other officials inspected ongoing Pushkarams works at Kale­shwaram on Sunday.

Speaking on the oc­casion, Indrakaran asked the officials to speed up the works as monsoon may enter the State by June 1. As this is the first Pushkarams in Telangana, the State government plans to conduct the event on the lines of Khumbamela. CM KCR, who was more particular about facilities, directed the officials to provide all arrangements for devotees in all 106 bathing ghats being constructed on the banks of River Godavari by spending `500 crore.

There would be no compromise on the quality of works, the Minister said. Scores of devotees are likely to visit Kaleshwaram, located at the confluence of three rivers, he said. `50 lakh would be sanctioned to construct a dining hall in the temple, he added. Later, the Minister reviewed progress of Pushkarams works at Dharmapuri .
