CPI Telangana State Council has called upon the students to intensify the agitation against the Telangana State government to protect the Osmania University lands. All India Students’ Federation (AISF) Telangana State Council State-level training classes on political, education and scientific knowledge commenced on Tuesday under the presidentship of AISF State president Stalin at Maqdhoom Bhavan.

Hyderabad: CPI Telangana State Council has called upon the students to intensify the agitation against the Telangana State government to protect the Osmania University lands. All India Students’ Federation (AISF) Telangana State Council State-level training classes on political, education and scientific knowledge commenced on Tuesday under the presidentship of AISF State president Stalin at Maqdhoom Bhavan.


Participating as the chief guest, CPI Telangana State Council secretary Chada Venkat Reddy has alleged that the Centre and State governments have already started making efforts to privatise education system. He said the government has reduced the number of Medical and Dental admissions under the convener quota from 60 per cent to 50 per cent and allowed private college managements to conduct entrance examination for B-Category seats and supporting the private managements to collect Rs 35 lakhs additionally to the existing amount.


The State and Central governments made arrangements to see that only children of rich people pursue Medical education and depriving the same to middle class people. The CPI leader alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to use the Osmania University lands for real estate forgetting the fact that the erstwhile Nizam had allotted over 2000 acres to the Osmania University keeping the future needs in mind.
