Telangana Telugu Desam party resolution in Mahanadu tells Naidu that it will help the party hound the TRS govt

Hyderabad: The Telangana TDP on Thursday urged the party president N Chandrababu Naidu to impress upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accommodate one of the party MPs from Telangana in the Union Cabinet, so that it can give more teeth to the party to fight against TRS government and help emerge as a strong force in the state.

Moving a resolution against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s failure in implementing poll promises, the TTDP working president E Dayakar Rao said the party was losing its base following continued poaching of its leaders by the ruling TRS. To boost the morale of the party cadre, the need of the hour is that “the party nominate an MP from Telangana for a berth in the Union Cabinet,” he said.

It would help the TDP to embarrass the TRS leaders and take on the pink party, the TTDP leader said. TTDP incidentally has more Rajya Sabha members. He also challenged the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to see that all the four TDP MLAs, who switched their loyalties to TRS, resign from their posts and seek re-election. People in Telangana State realised that KCR had devoted most of his time in creating trouble for the opposition instead of fulfilling the promises he had made in the election manifesto.

Rao came down heavily on KCR for the latter’s failure in providing jobs to the youth. The government, he said, had neglected Telangana martyrs’ families, forgot land distribution scheme meant for SC and ST communities and also forced the distressed farmers to commit suicide, Rao added. Another senior leader M Narasimhulu lambasted KCR’s ‘dictatorial attitude’ in discharging his duties. He compared KCR’s rule with Nizam’s dynastic rule.
