Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister C Lakshma Reddy here on Sunday appealed to the people to shun consumption of tobacco products which were root cause of many fatal diseases and said that the government would try to include a lesson in school curriculum against tobacco use.
The Minister was speaking after flagging off two-kilometre walk organised by Telangana Tobacco Control Board in association with Indian Dental Association on Necklace Road here on the occasion of World Anti-Tobacco Day.
The Minister stressed the need for launching a movement to bring about awareness among the people on harmful effects of tobacco use. He also assured that the State government would try to include a lesson on the fatal effects of the tobacco in the school curriculum to educate the students.
