Telangana Formation Day celebrations kick start
Gearing up to celebrate the first anniversary of the Telangana state formation day, the week-long festivities have begun on Tuesday. Elaborate plans have been put forth for the celebrations for the TRS government with K Chandrasekhar Rao completing one year in office.

Hyderabad along with the other nine districts will be amidst festive spirit showcasing the six-decade struggle for the statehood. The Chief Minister’s office in Begumpet, Telangana Secretariat, Raj Bhavan, government buildings, Assembly and other historic monuments are being illuminated for the celebrations.
Kick starting the festivities on June 1 at midnight, 12 selected places at Hyderabad witnessed fireworks and major junctions in the city had a festive look decorated with banners, lighting, etc. Principal Secretary of tourism and culture, B.P. Acharya informed that at three places in Hyderabad – Buddha Statue [Hussainsagar], Secunderabad Clock Tower and Kachiguda Railway Station will witness 3D illuminated mapping.
The celebrations were launched by the Chief Minister KCR at Gun Park on Tuesday by paying tributes to Telangana-martyrs.
