Union govt official told to gather info on TRS MLA
Justice MS Ramachandra Rao of the High Court at Hyderabad in an order of far-reaching import on Tuesday directed that the Secretary, Ministry of Home in the Government of India to procure information with regard to sitting MLA Jeevan Reddy who is elected from the Armoor Assembly constituency .
Justice MS Ramachandra Rao of the High Court at Hyderabad in an order of far-reaching import on Tuesday directed that the Secretary, Ministry of Home in the Government of India to procure information with regard to sitting MLA Jeevan Reddy who is elected from the Armoor Assembly constituency .
The judge made the order in an election petition filed by Talari Satyanarayan, a voter from the constituency. The sitting TRS MLA had defeated the former Speaker Suresh Reddy who had contested on a Congress ticket. In his petition, the petitioner pointed out that the MLA got elected by concealing the fact that he availed a loan of AED45500 from United Arab Bank and a criminal case was filed against him in the Sharjah police headquarters for issuance of a bad cheque with bad faith.
