The housing project of building more than 1,000 two-bed room houses for the poor in Warangal which was announced by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been approved by the government as orders have been issued on Thursday. Simultaneously, the government would give pattas to more than 10,000 poor people living in slums in Greater Hyderabad limits.


Each house unit will be constructed at a cost of Rs 5.04 lakh with 2 bed rooms, a kitchen, two toilets and a common hall. While 592 houses are expected to be built in Ambedkarnagar, 792 will be built in SR Nagar.


According to an official release, the chief minister would give away house pattas to the poor - 7,000 families living in NBT Nagar and 3,300 families in Malkajgiri constituency on Friday.
