It looks like Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is determined to provide safe drinking water to every household in the State. He unveiled his flagship programme Water Grid Pylon at Choutuppal on Monday in Nalgonda district with much fanfare. The pylon was constructed at a cost of Rs 1.95 crore and opened to mark the beginning of the works of the project.

Priests offered KCR a traditional reception and the latter also participated in the pujas. The State government has taken a decision to spend around Rs 25,000 crore for the project to make it operational. On completion, it will provide safe drinking water to every household in the State.


He also participated in some other developmental programmes in the district. Minister KT Rama Rao, G Jagadish Reddy, MPs B Narsaiah Goud, B Suman, MLA G Sunitha and officials were present.
