Hyderabad: The PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Monday disposed of a public interest writ petition (PIL), seeking a CBI probe into a death of a 11-year- old boy allegedly at the hands of Army personnel at Army Garrison campus at Mehdipatnam in the city.


The bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosle and Justice S V Bhatt was dealing with PIL writ petition filed by Gulam Rabbani, a practising advocate in the city. The petitioner that the boy, Shaik Mustafauddin made a dying declaration that he was set ablaze by two army personnel.

As reported earlier, a Special Investigation Team was formed to probe case. The bench expressed satisfaction with the investigation of the SIT. The bench directed the petitioner and the parents of the deceased to approach the SIT with relevant information.
