Hyderabad: The Special Court for ACB Cases on Monday extended the judicial remand of TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy and two other accused in the cash-for-vote case till June 29. Earlier, the accused - Revanth Reddy, Rudra Uday- simha and Harry Sebastian, were produced before the court on the conclusion of their judicial remand. The Anti-Corruption Bureau has submitted a memo in the court seeking extension of judicial remand.

The public prosecutor objected to granting of bail to Revanth Reddy and other accused on the grounds that investigations were still on and the evidence has to be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for examination. The public prosecutor contended that the release of Revanth Reddy on bail before the receipt of FSL report might affect the investigation process.

Further, he said the ACB was yet to record the statement of nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson. Based on the argument, the court extended the judicial remand of all three accused for 14 days till June 29. Following the rejection of bail by the Special Court, Revanth Reddy's lawyers on Monday moved a bail petition in the High Court.

The other accused in the case, Rudra Udaysimha and Harry Sebastian, too have moved bail applications in the High Court. All three petitions have been accepted for hearing.
