Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau served notice to two TDP MLAs in the 'cash-for-vote' scam late on Tuesday. The ACB sleuths served the notice to Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah at his residence Quarter No. 208 of MLA Quarters in Hyderguda. In the notice, served under Section 160 of the Cr PC, the ACB has directed the MLA to appear in person for questioning in connection with the case.

The MLA was reportedly not present in the house when ACB officials went to serve the notice. The ACB officials also served notice to another TDP member Vem Narender Reddy, who lost the MLC election held recently. The possibility of issuing notices to some more MLAs is also not ruled out.

According to sources, the ACB is also likely to issue notices to MPs CM Ramesh and Garikipati Mohan Rao. Political circles here said that the ACB was contemplating to issue notices to Union minister Y S Chowdary as well but put it on hold for the time being. The ACB had sought the permission of the Centre to issue notices to Chowdary. The Centre, sources said, has asked the Telangana government to go slow with regard to the Union minister.
