ACB can serve notice on Naidu, says ex-DGP. Former DGP and YSRCP leader V Dinesh Reddy on said that Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) can serve notices on any one irrespective of his designation or stature including Chief Minister or any other top leader with complete evidence.

Hyderabad: Former DGP and YSRCP leader V Dinesh Reddy on said that Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) can serve notices on any one irrespective of his designation or stature including Chief Minister or any other top leader with complete evidence.
Reacting for the first time on the ‘cash-for-vote’ scam that upset the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government, Dinesh Reddy said Telangana ACB could serve notices on Naidu or anyone with regard to ‘cash-for-vote’ case as there was strong evidence.
Neither the Centre nor the Governor could interfere on the issues under the ambit of law, he said. Referring to TDP demand for Section 8 in Hyderabad, he said it was not required as there was no such incident taken place in the city so far.
“The Governor can only interfere when there is a law and order problem, no protection for people and their assets,” the former DGP observed. “It is during the President Rule, the Governor can have control on law and order,” he remarked.
