TRS, TDP deceiving people: TPCC

Nizamabad: The Congress alleged that both TRS and TDP parties and its Chief Ministers KCR and Chandrababu Naidu are sailing in the same boat with the idea of deceiving the Telugu people. Nizamabad District Congress Committee on Thursday felicitated the newly-elected Congress MLC Akula Lalitha at Munnuru Kapu Sangam and organised a party meeting. TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumanth Rao, Council Floor Leader Md Ali Shabbir, former MP Madhu Yashki, former minister P Sudershan Reddy and other party leaders spoke on the occasion.
TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the both TRS and TDP parties are deceiving the people of Telugu states with their hollow promises. He said the TRS party promised the people that they form the social Telangana and ensure social justice to all downtrodden people. But in reality, TRS did not give any ministerial post to woman in state cabinet. However, their party gave a chance to a BC woman for MLC, he pointed out.
Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that no one was happy with TRS government’s one-year rule. The Chief Minister and ministers do not talk about the suicides by the farmers due to the mounting debts. The agriculture sector is in crisis, farmers are suffering, jobless youth are frustrated as vacant posts are not yet filled. KCR is busy encouraging the party defections and purchasing the MLAs and MLCs, Uttam fumed.
Congress MP V Hanumanth Rao demanded the both AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Union Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj immediately resign their posts and prove their honesty in court. Reacting to Chandrababu’s comments that, “If Telangana government arrests him immediately it would collapse”, VH said that ‘The Telangana government is elected by Telangana people and it will not collapse till it completes its 5-year tenure.
Akula Lalitha alleged that the TRS government does not give an opportunity to woman in state cabinet. But the Congress president Sonia Gandhi recognised the necessity of women in legislature bodies and gave her MLC opportunity. She thanked Sonia Gandhi and assured to strive to strengthen the Congress party in the state.
