The Telangana State Lorry Owners Association has decided to go on indefinite strike from Wednesday demanding the government to resolve their demands. The Telangana lorry owners are demanding single permit from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh and also are demanding the government to rethink over the cancellation of registration of the 15-year-old vehicles.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Lorry Owners Association has decided to go on indefinite strike from Wednesday demanding the government to resolve their demands. The Telangana lorry owners are demanding single permit from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh and also are demanding the government to rethink over the cancellation of registration of the 15-year-old vehicles.
The association also served a strike notice to the government with the demand of withdrawal of the hike of VAT on diesel. About 400 lorry owners from 10 districts of the state said that they would up the ante depending on the government’s response. Vehicles carrying goods like milk and water are exempted from the strike.
