Hyderabad: Advocate-General of Telangana K Ramakrishna Reddy on Thursday clarified that all the institutions listed in Schedule 10 of the AP State Reorganisation Act belong to Telangana State. This was stated by the Advocate-General at a meeting of senior officials chaired by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma.

He said AP has nothing to do with these institutions. If AP needs any services they should enter into an agreement with Telangana Government, he said. Even the funds of these institutions would belong to Telangana State. He further said that the government can make appointments to these institutions.

The TS government can review the position of employees and make necessary changes. As per the AG suggestion, all the institutions falling in the geographical territory of Telangana would come under the State only. Accordingly the Chief Secretary has issued orders.

Obviously, this drew sharp opposition from AP officials. AP has been staking claim in the funds and managements of these institutions. The TS government has been claiming complete control over them. Earlier, this row caused confrontation between the two State governments even leading embarrassing situations like unilateral diversion of funds and obstructing the officials.
