State Women’s Commission is appealing to the State and Central governments to take measures for the safety of the migrant women. They urged the government to organise facilitation centres for the migrant women.

Indian Embassy should maintain online registration and give quarterly report of the women, who would go abroad. ESI identity cards for the women should also be provided. Chairperson of State Women’s Commission of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Dr Tripurana Venkatratnam said.

Majority of migrant women, who went abroad as domestic help, returned penniless, but burdened with health problems, she said.
