Laying foundation stone for Women’s Polytechnic College and a new hostel building near Ramanthapur, along with Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy and MP Ch Malla Reddy here, he claimed that the Telangana government was offering free education for intermediate students in the State.


Accusing the previous governments of failing to check the dwindling standards in the education sector, Srihari said despite the division of the State, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders were conspiring against Telangana State.

However, the people were turning down their arguments, he said. He also emphasised the need for focusing on providing quality education and maintaining of standards.

“Our government is committed to improve the standards in education section in order to offer bright future to the students,” he remarked. Srihari, who also holds Education portfolio said they were preparing a perfect plan of action to bring in better changes in the education sector by taking suggestions and inputs from intellectuals and experts. He reiterated that the TRS government would implement the flagship ‘KG-to-PG’ scheme from 2016 academic year.
