BJP MLA Dr K Laxman inaugurated a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant and a bore-well set up by NTPC at the Government High School at Kavadiguda in Hyderabad on Wednesday. NTPC built the RO plant with 500 liters capacity and the bore well as part of its CSR initiative for providing safe drinking water to the students.

Hyderabad: BJP MLA Dr K Laxman inaugurated a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant and a bore-well set up by NTPC at the Government High School at Kavadiguda in Hyderabad on Wednesday. NTPC built the RO plant with 500 liters capacity and the bore well as part of its CSR initiative for providing safe drinking water to the students.


NTPC also built a toilet and a compound wall around the school with a gate and undertook various renovation works for the school building. In addition to providing infrastructure facilities, 150 desk-cum-benches were also provided for the class rooms. School uniforms and note books were also distributed to students of four government schools on this occasion.

Dakshin Deepanjali Mahila Samiti president Jankai Venkateswaran, AGM (HR) Dr T Pratap, AGM (F&A) B Ramarao, AGM (CSR) K Lingiah, Deputy DEO, Hyderabad, Chirnajivi and the school staff and children participated in the programme.Besides Government High School at Kavadiguda, NTPC has taken up CSR initiatives to benefit Musheerababad High School and Primary School,


Bhoiguda Primary and High School, Mekhala Mandi Primary School, Bansilalpet High School, Zeera primary School, Sunnambatti, GHS West Marredpalli, GPS West Marredpally and Goverment. High School YMCA, Secunderabad, according to press release issued here on Wednesday.
