Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj & IT Minister KT Rama Rao Tuesday asserted that the poor people, who have so far been deprived of better healthcare services need not worry. Along with Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy and Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, KTR launched a new 100-bedded hospital and e-health centre at Jadcherla town in Mahabubnagar district here, on Tuesday.

He said the State government would soon come up with a health scheme enabling the patients get online services from anywhere. With this facility, patients can avail the services for liver, heart and other major ailments in a hassle-free manner.

It will also help them avoid frequent checking, he said, adding that they will strengthen the government hospitals to surpass the corporate ones in terms of rendering better and timely medical services.

A team will monitor the services and facilities in the hospitals, he stated. Private hospitals are charging about Rs 45 lakh for liver transplant surgery, which is being made available now in Osmania Hospital, he said. Dr Lakshma Reddy said steps will be taken to set up ICUs at all district hospitals.
