Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday congratulated tennis star Sania Mirza for becoming the first Indian to win a Grand Slam title with her Swiss partner Martina Hingis at the Wimbledon.
"By winning international tournaments, Hyderabadi girls have become role model for everyone and inspiration to girls," an official release quoted KCR as saying. Sania Mirza was last year appointed Telangana brand ambassador by the State government.
