MPs pitch for separate HC. In their efforts to exert pressure on the Centre for neglecting the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Telangana State MPs on Thursday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan and submitted a memorandum to him on the issue.
Hyderabad: In their efforts to exert pressure on the Centre for neglecting the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Telangana State MPs on Thursday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan and submitted a memorandum to him on the issue.
Stating that they would stall the winter session of Parliament on the issue, they urged the Governor to take an initiative to speed up the process of division of the High Court by putting pressure on the Centre.
The MPs, who met the Governor, include K Keshava Rao, B Vinod Kumar, Jithender Reddy, K Kavitha, B Narsaiah Goud and Visweshwar Reddy. The Governor assured to get clarity from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the issue and take up the issue with the Centre.
