Pushkaralu give a big boost to TSTDC. The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation’s (TSTDC) special packages for Godavari Pushkaralu seem to have captured the imagination of people. Officials at the TSTDC office are working overtime to meet the increasing rush of pilgrims to travel by TSTDC buses.

The TSTDC has raked in about Rs 20 lakh till Monday. Officials expect that revenue would touch Rs 30 lakh by the end of Pushkaralu. The bookings to Basara, Bhadrachalam, Kaleswaram and Dharmapuri are going on in full swing. More number of people are reserving tickets for Dharmapuri, according to an official. The buses to Basara, Bhadrachalam and Dharmapuri start in the morning and return to Hyderabad between 9 pm. and 10 pm.
Food courts also see good business The three food courts at Basara, Dharmapuri and Bhadrachalam are doing roaring business by earning at the rate of Rs 40,000 each a day. Even the Haritha Haram hotels at Dharmapuri with 15 room accommodation, Bhadrachalam with 25 rooms and Basara with 25 rooms are packed to full capacity.
