TDP demands white paper on irrigation projects
Telangana TDP on Monday demanded that Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao release a white paper on the status of the irrigation projects, particularly in Mahbubnagar district. Addressing the press here, party senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said the Minister had claimed that the previous TDP regime had failed to release even a single rupee for the irrigation projects.
Hyderabad: Telangana TDP on Monday demanded that Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao release a white paper on the status of the irrigation projects, particularly in Mahbubnagar district. Addressing the press here, party senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said the Minister had claimed that the previous TDP regime had failed to release even a single rupee for the irrigation projects.
Dubbing the allegation as baseless, the TDP leader felt that the Minister could have made the statement because of lack of knowledge on irrigation projects. In the undivided AP, the then Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had started works on Kalwakurthy , Jurala , Koilsagar and Bheema project in the drought-hit district.
Reddy also said the Minister expressed his readiness to take part in public debate on irrigation project anywhere. But the T TDP invited him to do so at NTR Trust Bhavan, Krishna Rao had declined to participate.
