Bhadrachalam (Khammam): S Venugopala Chary, Special Representative of the Telangana State in New Delhi, said on Tuesday that the Centre was acting against the spirit of the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Act-2014, Addressing a press conference here, Chary said the TRS MPs would continue their fight against the Centre until the issues would be sorted out.

“The TRS will exert pressure on the Centre in the ongoing Parliament session to expedite the bifurcation of the High Court and 134 other institutions,” he said. Criticising the Union government for its indifferent attitude towards Telangana State, Chary stated pointed out that the Centre was yet to release Rs 12,000 crore that was due to the State under various programmes.

Referring to the meagre funds released for the ongoing Maha Pushkaralu in the State, he criticised the Centre for its biased attitude against the Telangana state. He said that the TRS MPs would raise the demand for increase in power allocation from the Central power station, besides demanding fulfilment of other promises made to T State as stated in the Reorganisation Act.
