Hyderabad: As promised earlier, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao Wednesday invited Prathyusha to his official residence after the High Court directed the officials to take her to the CM’s residence. Along with wife Shobha, KCR consoled the girl who was recuperating in Aware Global Hospital so far and asked her to avoid giving mind to the past nightmare and remain brave to take on the things come what may.


In a gesture of concern and affection, KCR had lunch with the girl along with Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy on the occasion. KCR asked Prathyusha to forget all the past agony and said nobody will dare to come in her way as she got the support now. He advised her to make use of this opportunity to come up.

‘You punish those who harassed you by coming up in the life by studying further to lead a better life’, KCR told her. Reeling out his phone numbers, the Chief Minister asked the girl to visit his home as and when she wants to. Later the officials shifted Prathyusha to a hostel.


Directing the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari to take care of her education and responsibilities, he sanctioned Rs 5 lakh to be deposited into her account. KCR asked the Collector Raghunandan Rao about the accommodation and facilities and also asked Cyberabad commissioner CV Anand to provide adequate protection to the girl.

It may be noted that the girl was put to a lot of torture and harassment by her step-mother and father.Earlier, after her discharge from the Aware Global Hospital the officials had taken her to the High Court wherein Chief Justice asked them to shift her to KCR’s residence. The Chief Justice also appreciated the gesture of KCR for extending much-needed support to such girls who were subjected to intolerable torture.
