Hyderabad: Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Limited which has been executing the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project clarified that it does not use the services of minor children in the construction activities.
The company stated that the news story published in The Hans India daily in its May 14, 2015 issue titled ‘L&T using services of minor children’ was not correct and that the photograph used by the newspaper does not belong to any of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project sites.
It further stated that as a policy they do not employ child labour. The L&T said that they follow high standards of corporate governance and was second to none in statutory compliances and law abidance.
