ASA stages protest against ABVP
The Ambedkar Students Association (ASA) protested against Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Hyderabad Central University on Monday. Claiming that the cases filed against ASA president D Prashanth and members of ASA were false, and demanding a fair inquiry into the allegations made by ABVP President N Susheel Kumar, the ASA organised the protest.

D Prashanth said, “Nandanam Susheel Kumar abused ASA by calling them goons on a social media page in response to a protest organised by ASA against ABVP stalling the screening of ‘Muzaffarnagar baaqi hain’ at Delhi University. When members of ASA demanded for a written apology, N Susheel Kumar admitted and withdrew his statement.
He gave a written apology in the presence of the security officer.” However Prashanth and two others who were questioned for nine hours by police alleged that the night N Susheel Kumar gave the apology letter, he used his political backup and framed false cases against three dalit students: students’ union president K Vincent, ASA president Dontha Prashanth and ex-president of ASA Dara Ashok Kumar, by getting himself admitted in a private hospital.
