Hyderabad: The PIL bench of the High Court dismissed a public interest writ petition on the question of whether Osmania General Hospital could be demolished. The bench was dealing with a plea filed by Swami Das, a practising advocate. The petitioner complained that the hospital building was a heritage structure and the government’s action in demolishing it was illegal. The government informed the court that a final decision had not been taken in this regard. Noting the comments of the government, the bench dismissed the petition.
