The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) organized grand sports and culture festival 'Khel Utsav - 2015' in association with Telangana PETs Association for school students on the eve of Independence Day Week. To celebrate the success of the students who have scaled great heights in 'TITA Khel Utsav - 2015', TITA organized the 'Prize Distribution Ceremony' on Friday at Praveen Gardens, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. More than 14 schools participated in this event.

"We take pride in recognizing and rewarding the efforts of every dedicated student. Many Studies investigated the link between physical activity in children and academic performance in school. Research has shown that after 30 minutes on the treadmill, students solve problems up to 10 percent more effectively. Initially, researchers predicted that kids who took physical education (PE) during the school day would do better academically, since it helps reduce boredom and helps kids stay focused. Researchers recommend that physical education classes include more vigorous activities for kids. Other research also shows that active children do better in school, are better able to concentrate, and even exhibit fewer behavior problems. TITA will come up with many such activities to encourage school students in sports." said TITA Founder & President Sundeep Kumar Makthala.

"Physical activity and sports are generally promoted for their positive effect on children's physical health; regular participation in physical activity in childhood is associated with a decreased cardiovascular risk in youth and adulthood. Keeping kids active at school is a superb way to increase learning, focus and even test results. Although it's becoming more widely known that physical activity has a direct result on brain function, many schools in the India are removing rather than improving their physical education programs. This means we have to encourage our children to stay active after school and on weekends in order to reap the wonderful brain-boosting benefits that exercise has to offer. TITA request all the schools to be very strict on Physical Education." said TITA Membership Committee Vice Chairman Swamy Deva.

Mahadev, PET Association President demanded Government for a separate subject of 'Physical Education' with weightage of marks in School Academic Curriculum.

International Power Lifter Srisailam Yadav, National Power Lifter Sampath Kumar Makthala, Jeeth Rao, Raju, Srinivas, Praveen Yadav, Chinna, Mangamma, TITA Executive Member G. Suresh, PETs Paparao, Santosh, Vasu, Venu and others participated in the event.
