During his visit to the village after adoption on Monday, the commissioner appealed to the youngsters to come forward in developing the village. “We have to transform Khanapur as the best Gram Panchayat. Let us make efforts in making Grama Jyothi a huge success alike Haritha Haram,” C V Anand said addressing the public gathering at the Gram panchayat office.

He asked the village residents to plant two saplings at least in front of their homes. Further, the Commissioner went around the village and reviewed the condition of roads, sewerage and drainage systems, water sources and the residential colonies in the village.
