Associate Professor of Dr BRKR Government Ayurvedic College Dr A Sulochana has bagged national level prestigious ‘Confederation of Education Excellence Teachers Award’ for the year 2015.

Hyderabad: Associate Professor of Dr BRKR Government Ayurvedic College Dr A Sulochana has bagged national level prestigious ‘Confederation of Education Excellence Teachers Award’ for the year 2015.



She has received the award on September 4 at a programme held in New Delhi from the hands of Dr Purshottam Lal, Chairman and Director of Intentional Cardiology of the Metro group of Hospitals.


Dr Sulochana was selected for the award in recognition of her contribution to the Ayurvedic education in the country. She completed her BAMS from Dr Burgula Ramakrishna Rao Government Ayurvedic College, Hyderabad and won a gold medal. She completed her Ph.D on the topic of “Prasoothi Thanthri-STree Roga” (delivery related complications) from Maharashtra Health University in 2015.



She was the first in-service Doctor from Telangana, who was awarded Ph.D on delivery related complications. Earlier, she has also received Outstanding Performance Appreciation from Government Ayurvedic hospital where she is presently working. She belongs to Kodangal village in Mahaboobnagar district.



Dr Sulochana has penned a textbook on ‘Ayurvedic Gynecology’, which was published by Varanasi-based Choukamba Sanskrita Sansthan in 2014. She has also written a Telugu book ‘Stree Aarogya Sanjeevani’ in which she has explained elaborately the ayurvedic remedies for women related diseases.
