Nizamabad: The TSPSC new syllabus was prepared with a view to test the aspirants understanding about the Telangana history, economy,

culture and the Telangana statehood movement, said TJAC Chairman Kodandaram who is also a member of the Public Service Commission.

Prof Kodandaram on Wednesday participated in an awareness programme on TSPSC competitive exams conducted by the Telangana University Competitive Examinations Coaching Centre at Telangana University (TU) campus along with another syllabus committee member Prof Limbadri and TU VC Parthasarathi.

He explained that the candidates should go for an in-depth study and greater understanding about Telangana. “We need to have people in Group-I or Group-II and other services with better understanding about Telangana State and only then we can expect committed services from them,” he stressed.

Lot of material about Telangana was available in the form of books and on the internet, he said.“The various phases of the separate State movement, the cultural aspects like festivals and traditions of the Telangana are all important,” Prof Kodandaram said.

Participating as the chief guest, TU Vice-Chancellor C Parthasarathi said that it was very important for the aspirants to have a specific goal and they should work hard to realise it.

Another TSPSC syllabus committee member and Osmania University sociology professor C Ganesh exhorted the students not to get confused by the syllabus.

He said, “All you need to know is to have a clear idea about the various sections in the syllabus and prepare in a confidant manner.” Prof Ganesh interacted with the students and clarified their doubts on various aspects of the Groups examinations and the evaluation process.
