Hyderabad: The talks between Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) workers who have been on strike and the Health Minister on Thursday failed to come to any solution.

Health Minister C Laxma Reddy assured the leaders of the union and ASHA workers that government would examine their demands and asked them to call off the strike.

According to CITU State leader Bhupal and Telangana Voluntary and Health Workers (ASHA) Union President P Jayalakshmi,

the Minister did not give any assurance regarding the main demand of fixing minimum salary.

So the ASHA workers decided to continue their strike. The ASHA workers had launched indefinite strike on September 2 demanding the government to fix a minimum salary of Rs 15,000 per month instead of performance-based incentives and solution to eight other demands.
