Warangal: The Maoists have reportedly called for a bandh in Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar districts on September 28.

The bandh was called in protest against the recent encounter where two Maoists Shruthi alias Mahitha and Vidyasagar Reddy alias Sagar were killed in the forests of Govindaraopet mandal in the district on Sep 15.

The Maoist party Khammam-Karimnagar-Warangal (KKW) committee secretary Damodar was said to have released a letter calling for the bandh.

Meanwhile, the TDP leader E Dayakar Rao on Thursday visited the family members of the deceased Maoist Sagar at Pedda Pendyal in Dharmasagar mandal.

He consoled his parents Sudhakar Reddy and Manemma and offered a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 on behalf of the TDP. Dayakar Rao demanded a CBI probe into the encounter.
