Karimnagar: Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Eatala Rajender informed that agriculture sector would be provided 24-hour power supply from 2018. He inaugurated a shopping complex in Huzurabad town on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the State government, which has decided to provide nine-hour power to agriculture from the next March, was making all necessary arrangements for a 24-hour power supply to farmers.

Referring the previous government’s comment that Telangana would face troubles to get power if Andhra Pradesh was divided, he said the Telangana government managed to overcome the power crisis and supplying 24-hour power to domestic consumers.

The government also decided to setup one sub-station for every three to four villages to overcome the low voltage problem in the State, he said.

Rajender showered boons on Huzurabad and promised to construct 540 houses to poor, drinking water connection to each house with an expenditure of Rs 50 crore,

hospital building with Rs 13.6 crore and complete all CC roads in the coming one year period. Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar lauded the Finance Minister for striving hard to develop Huzurabad on all fronts.

Even when TRS was in opposition, Rajender got funds sanctioned for his constituency by fighting with the government.

The MP assured to bring Central government funds for the construction of weaker section houses in Huzurabad and Jammikunta towns.

The Central government has sanctioned a national highway for Jagityal-Karimnagar-Warangal and the survey works for the proposed national highway will start very soon, he informed.
