Hans scribe gets TS govt award

Hyderabad : The Hans India has bagged Telangana State government award for its reporting on ‘Mission Kakatiya’. The Hans India had published a report: ‘Mission Kakatiya starts paying dividends,’ written by its reporter Mahesh Avadhutha which was one of the entries for the awards constituted by the Government of Telangana.

The report got him the third prize in the category. The government invited entries on the subject from both print and electronic media. The Hans India is the only English daily to get the award. A three-member panel consisting of Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana, Sakshi Editorial Director K Ramachandramurty and senior journalist Mallepally Laxmaiah judged the entries and decided on the awards.
