A city where public works are carried out with no indication, no time lines, etc., and public do not ask any question and silently suffer.

A city where manholes / drain pit covers become the source of income for contractors and municipal staff because they are made only to break soon and the work of making covers become a perpetual work that spends huge public money.

All roads are made in such a manner that they shall get damaged due to stagnation of water during rainy season so that they all can be relayed in the same manner. The concept of creating a gentle slope on all roads to facilitate draining of water is conveniently forgotten to serve the vested interest.
Public money is spent in a ruthless manner because public do not feel that it is their money and be happy with whatever happens.
It is a city where children curse every day twice the civic body for enabling them to learn to walk or ride on the roads!!
It is a city of stray dogs - thanks to no cruelty to animals and animal rights associations. This city shall be given UN award for protecting the rights of the stray animals like dogs, pigs, etc.,
This is also a city where Stray Dogs are allowed to eat just born babies or small kids and bite the adults too.
It is a great city that creatively facilitates death by opening the drain caps, manholes, not covering the drains, etc. because of that many get washed away and get killed.
It is a city where villages still exist with typical village like atmosphere in terms of narrow lanes, highly unplanned growth, filth etc leading the main roads and metro corridors and hightech cities.
It is known as cyber city where pigs, dogs like stray animals live along with poor people on either side of the roads.
A city that allows temples, mosques, dargas to be built on the thorough fares and preserves them well.
The beauty of the city is that it is now going for civic polls and these polls will be held only based on money and muscle power and the ability to perpetuate the present practices and earn as much as possible from the public money. The votes are sought by offering money to a minority section of people who decide the fate and giving great promises knowing fully well that they are not practical. All this is because of the fact that a candidate contesting as a Corporator needs to spend a minimum of Rs.4.00 crores and why would he spend that much money is a simple logic!!
It is a city of intellectuals and great personalities because these great minds write beautiful articles much better than the one that you read now and get awards for showcasing no civic sense. In fact this is a city that gives birth to many great creative minds only because of its lack of civic sense and even common sense.
Hope these clues are sufficient to arrive at the name of the city.
Enjoy the city life and carry the feeling like "Amchi Mumbai" in spite of its lack of civic sense and common sense. Feel nostalgic about it if you are outside this city.
