Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy on Monday stated the State government would soon take steps to modernise government hospitals to surpass the corporate ones in terms of facilities and infrastructure.

The Minister was speaking to mediapersons after participating in a meeting conducted to mark ‘World Heart Day’ celebrations, to create awareness among the children on heart problems, at his Jadcherla constituency in Mahabubnagar district.

He said the government was ready to provide best health services to the people and told them not to worry about the medical expenditures. “Adequate funds will be spent to get latest technology equipment to provide better quality services in the hospitals,” he informed.

Reddy said the government has directed the hospital officials to provide better services to the patients for speedy recovery. To overcome dengue and other contagious diseases and viral fevers in districts and villages, official machinery was pressed into service. There was no need to panic, he added.
