Hyderabad: Telangana TDP working president and Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy called upon people in cine industry to come forward to help mitigate problems of the distressed farmers in the State. Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday, Revanth exhorted film actors, producers, directors and others to come forward to lend a helping hand to the poor farmers.

He also promised that his party would extend all possible assistance if film fraternity organised any programme. The film celebrities and industrialists should help farmers, who were committing suicides due to various reasons like crop failure and debts, he said.
Telangana TDP floor leader in Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has not given any clear assurance on the farmers’ problems, though the Assembly discussed the issue for two days. “The TDP is going to the people to instil confidence among the farmers. We will fight for a permanent solution to the woes of the tillers,” he added.
