House to house survey to be undertaken from Nov 16
The Telangana State government has decided to undertake house-to-house enumeration from November 16 to December 15 following directions of the Union government to prepare Nation Population Register (NPR) by December 31. This involves updating of NPR and seeding of Aadhaar with NPR data base.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State government has decided to undertake house-to-house enumeration from November 16 to December 15 following directions of the Union government to prepare Nation Population Register (NPR) by December 31. This involves updating of NPR and seeding of Aadhaar with NPR data base.
A GO-11 was issued to this effect by Planning Department on Wednesday. Accordingly "Registrars of Citizens Registration" were appointed at various levels for updating the NPR data. Collectors, DROs and Chief Planning Officers would oversee this exercise at District level while Tahsildars and Deputy Tahsildars would take care of it at mandal level.
In Municipal Corporations and municipalities, respective Commissioners and their sub-ordinates would oversee this. It may be mentioned here that Centre had issued orders for preparation of NPR and field work for data collection relating to all individuals who are residing within the jurisdiction of their respective local registrars.
