Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Friday lashed out at the Opposition parties for giving a call for Telangana bandh on October 10 demanding crop loan waiver at one go.
He handed over cheques to the kin of deceased families on the occasion. Speaking to the media at Medak during a Swachh Medak programme along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy,
KTR belittled the Opposition’s statewide bandh on Saturday. He expressed surprise that the BJP and the TDP parties were going together for the protest instead of asking the Centre to provide financial assistance.
“Is Narendra Modi the Prime Minister only to the BJP-led States in India or also to the other states including Telangana,” he asked.
Stating that the crop insurance of the Centre was a big joke, he sought to know from the BJP government as to why it couldn’t give a similar package to Telangana as it has done in the case of Bihar.
