KCR was examined by the CBI team to know the reason behind the proposal for allotting the contract for the construction of ESI Hospitals across the State to the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC), a Central agency was given to the Executive Engineer of the A.P. Fisheries Department.
A case was registered by CBI in 2011 based on the source information report that relayed the construction resulted in a loss of at least Rs. 5 crore followed by in-depth probe launched by the ESI Corporation 2007-08.
