10 subsidised red gram centres in city soon
On the lines of providing onion at subsidised price, the Telangana government has come up with the idea of opening 10 centres in the city, which would provide red gram at reduced price.

The dal millers and dealers have agreed to open these centres for selling red gram I quality at Rs 160 per kg and II quality at Rs 135 per kg. They also agreed to open centres in every district and mandal headquarters with the assistance of Civil Supplies Corporation.
The Commissioner of Civil Supplies, Rajat Kumar, who held a meeting with Dal millers, wholesalers and traders, requested them to come up with this initiative to reduce the price of Red gram. “The centres will be functional with immediate effect. Every person shall be entitled to get 1 kg at reduced price,” he said.
