Now, SSC exam alerts on mobiles. In order to make the exam process easy and hassle-free, the Telangana Directorate of Government Examinations, which conducts the SSC public exams, has decided to send the SMS alerts to the registered mobile numbers of headmasters, parents or guardians.

Hyderabad: In order to make the exam process easy and hassle-free, the Telangana Directorate of Government Examinations, which conducts the SSC public exams, has decided to send the SMS alerts to the registered mobile numbers of headmasters, parents or guardians. The alerts with the respect to the corrections in application forms, hall tickets and information on short memos would be sent to the schools concerned and parents.

In this regard, the Directorate has included mobile number column on the Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) sheet. In case of corrections on the applications, the students can report to the concerned headmaster and get it done. Besides, the students also have to provide their Aadhaar number while applying for the examination.

“The students can provide their mobile numbers or of their parents or guardians. However, mobile number of the headmaster is mandatory in the ICR form,” said an official. The official further added that providing Aadhaar card number was not a mandatory.

That apart, starting from the next academic year, application form submissions for SSC exams will be made completely online. So far, the Directorate of School Education has been accepting forms online and offline. It has decided to do away with offline system of applications.

Currently, the candidates have to apply online and submit the online application printed form along with ICR sheet to the Board. From the next academic year, the ICR form would be included online and all the applications would be processed online
