Hyderabad: The Telangana government has appointed senior IAS officer B Venkateshwar Rao as the inquiry officer to look into allegations of irregularities in Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Mutually Aided Co-operative Housing Society.

In this connection GO Number 2865 was issued by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma on Thursday. The officer was told to look into the issue and submit a report in a month.

This decision was taken following the enquiry report of Director General, Vigilance and Enforcement, about misuse of government land in allotment of plots without proper guidelines and financial irregularities by the office bearers of the society.

It suggested the government to take disciplinary action against the violators.
