Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate in coordination with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) launched a “Project Safe Stay” on Friday.

On the occasion of the launch, Madhapur DCP Karthikeya Sharma highlighted the objectives of “Project Safe Stay” as an

initiative towards strengthening and facilitating the safety and security of the working women hostel and accommodation in the IT corridor.

Sharma also promised that a plan to register these hostels as ordered by Cyberabad Police Commissione C V Anand would be implemented in 45 days. The preparatory work for the project also included a survey of different hostels in the IT corridor.

A comprehensive report was prepared on the feedbacks received from the target population.

The Police Commissioner said the project aimed at ensuring safety and security in the hostel for working women in all parameters and at all hours of the day in the IT corridor.

He also promised that mechanism would be put in place for safety and security in hostels and accommodations through continuous and comprehensive monitoring system.

Speaking on the occasion, Bharani Kumar Aroll, Secretary for SCSC, reiterated that this unique social inventive would help foster and facilitate the safety and security of the working women in the hostels and ensure a good partnership in creating a nurturing environment for better business transactions in the IT corridor.

The “Project Safe Stay” will include registration of hostels and accommodations with the Commissionerate of Police, issue of guidelines on security measures, etc.
