Abandoned mother dies at police station

Sattemma’s husband died a few years back and her responsibility was entrusted to her two sons. However, the two sons-Mallaiah, a small-time trader and Narsimha, watchman of an apartment in Hyderabad-had agreed to look after their mother for two months each at a time.
For the last two months, Sattemma was staying with her elder son. Recently, she went to live with his second son Narasimha at Hyderabad.
However, the second son and his wife left her at Pantangi after beating her. The distraught Sattemma went to the police station and lodged a complaint. The police called Narasimha on Saturday.
By the time he reached the police station, the old woman breathed her last at the police station.
