Hyderabad: Taking a dig at the ruling TRS government, BJP Legislative Assembly floor leader K Laxman claimed that the ruling party has no ethical right to seek votes in the upcoming Warangal by-election.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, Laxman said that the by-election was a result of the TRS government’s arrogance and unilateral decisions. He asked people in the constituency to save Telangana by defeating the TRS. He added that the poll would be a referendum to the TRS government’s regime.

The BJP leader accused TRS of duping people of Telangana. He said the ruling party had cheated people from every walk of life during the last 16 months. Laxman said that the State government had failed miserably in implementing their poll promises and preventing farmer suicides.

He also stated that voters in Warangal had already given their mandate during the recently concluded MLC elections from graduate constituency when they voted in favour of BJP candidate and are waiting to defeat TRS in the upcoming by-poll.
