Speaking at the event, the commissioner said each camera functions in equivalent with 100 police officers during investigation of cases and also increases the productivity by the police. He added that it has been the biggest community project taken up by the citizens in Hyderabad.

“The target of the department is to install one lakh CCTV cameras in city to bring every inch of the city under electronic surveillance. Very soon, Hyderabad will be transformed as a safe city as dreamt by the State government,” the commissioner expressed confidence.

He appreciated the initiative of the SCB Chief Executing Officer Sujatha Gupta and asked her to create awareness among the citizens of other wards to install CCTV Cameras in their respected communities.

Special Branch Additional Commissioner Y Nagi Reddy, North Zone DCP N Prakash Reddy, NZ Additional DCP P Y Giri and other police officers were present at the event.
